Bishop Auckland Cricket Club are recruiting junior players for the coming cricket season due to start in the middle of April. Much work has been done during the winter months and great strides are being made to re-establish the once thriving section down at Kingsway.

“The recent pandemic has caused many problems for the club. Sadly our junior player numbers were decimated to the point whereby we simply couldn’t turnout teams for competitive fixtures” said newly appointed Director of Coaching Steve Chapman.

“Bishop has a proud history of producing successful cricket teams and players. Last season was the first time in a very long time the club was unable participate in the local league and every effort is being made attract juniors from the local area.”

For the coming season in 2022 BACC are offering all junior members FREE club membership and weekly organised coaching sessions as they rebuild their junior membership base.

If you are the parent of a child who would like to get involved in a fantastic game and make new friends, then why not get involved? There are currently indoor coaching sessions available should your child wish to give it a go!!
