MIKE SOWERBY - SAFEGUARDING OFFICER

Mike has 35 years experience of managerial work in the Local Authority Residential Special school sector.
After retirement he is still engaged within education being a school governor in a local primary and secondary school.
He has a wealth of knowledge in the Safeguarding of children and young people with qualifications in education and social and pastoral care.
Bishop Auckland Cc committed to providing a safe and understanding environment for youngsters and vulnerable adults.Mike attends the majority of junior coaching sessions and is available to discuss any concerns parents or carers may wish to raise.
He is also available via email or telephone for anyone within the club to discuss any issues,with confidentiality respected at all times.

STEVE CHAPMAN - DIRECTOR OF COACHING

Steve has been a Level III coach for over 20years. He has worked extensively in Australia where he owned his own cricket coaching business before returning to England in 2018. In recent years Steve worked for Durham CCC as a Batting and Spin Bowling Consultant and in 2017 worked as an Assistant Coach with Gujurat Lions in the IPL.

NATHAN RIMMINGTON - HEAD COACH

Nathan is a former professional cricketer. He has played in some of cricket's biggest leagues, including the IPL and Big Bash. Making his first-class debut in 2005 for the Queensland Bulls, he has enjoyed representing teams all over the world including Kings XI Punjab, Perth Scorchers, Melbourne Renegades, Hampshire, Derbyshire and Durham. 

Nathan is an ECB Level 3 and DBS checked cricket coach. He has extensive knowledge coaching juniors in Australia and the United Kingdom.

JACOB DINGER - JUNIOR COACH

Joining BACC in 2015 as the Overseas Amateur when he was a 19yr old, Jacob was an aspiring high-level cricketer. Since then, he has resided in the UK and continued to play cricket for BACC and has become a valuable member of our junior coaching team. Jacobs positive approach to cricket rubs off in his coaching and indeed he is very popular amongst our playing members. He is currently Secretary within our club and also a regular first team player.

PAUL STONES - JUNIOR COACH

Paul has played cricket at Bishop Auckland since the age of 12, progressing through our junior set up and into senior cricket.  He has performed strongly for all our senior sides over the years and captained the club’s 2nd XI for many years before stepping down.  Paul has been a level II coach for over 6 years but actively been coaching juniors for over 10+ years.  He has been the Head Junior Coach for many years facilitating the games, winter / summer nets, social events and of course presentations.

JOHN HOLLIDAY - JUNIOR COACH

Since 2006 John has been coaching players at our club. Both his son and his daughter are still currently junior members and John has been a particularly hard worker with our junior members. He is a qualified umpire and scorer and still plays in the club second team from time to time.

RACHEL PARSONS - JUNIOR COACH

Rachel is a real cricket enthusiast and someone who has been involved in our club for many years as a member of our womens team, parent of cricket playing kids and supporter of the club . As a recently qualified coach, Rachel has already become an outstanding junior player coach leading sessions throughout our recent winter coaching program. Look out for Rachel working within softball, All Stars & Dynamos coaching sessions.
