A comfortable 10 wicket victory for BACC 1XI away at Blackhall CC on Saturday, ensured those 25 points kept the Kingsway men flying high in the NYSD Div 1

With the chances of wet weather becoming an increasingly likely event during the day, 10-man Blackhall opted to bat first as Nathan Rimmington called incorrectly at the coin toss. It was the only time the Bishop skipper put a foot wrong during the day as he proceeded to bowl superbly well throughout his 11.1 overs returning match winning figures of 6/25. The Blackhall innings had started positively with the home side reaching 44/1 before Paul Moss (9) edged Ian Grainger (2/19) to be caught behind and when Tyler Parkin was caught soon after the home side slumped and lost wickets quickly. The returning Paul Webster was bowled by a beauty from Nathan Rimmington first ball and when Nathan Ball was run out by a direct hit from Dan ‘there’s not one to me there’ Legge, the home side lost had lost 8/18 to be all out for 62 in 22.1 overs.

Openers Scott Oldfield (33no) & Steve Chapman (26no) made light work of the run chase reaching the required total in a little over 12 overs, securing a valuable 25 points in doing.
